The Smith & Wesson Model 1905 is a large-frame, double-action revolver chambered in .38 Special. It was introduced in 1905 and was produced until 1940. The gun has a 4, 5, or 6 inch barrel and is made of blued carbon steel. It has a 6-round cylinder and a fixed front sight with a rear notch sight. The Model 1905 was extremely popular with law enforcement agencies and civilians alike, and it was also used extensively in World War II.
